Poetry by C. Eve

I am the First Eve.

November 7, 2012March 7, 2018

Awakening

I shivered,
the invisible burden lifted.
My body softened.
I smelled blood.
Midnight
left me breathless
like the graceful sweep
of butterfly wings.
The air crackled
and I sparked
my control,
ever so mild.
