Poetry by C. Eve

I am the First Eve.

December 11, 2012March 7, 2018

Coward

His silver weakened me.
The restraints surrounded me and he was beautiful, his eyes deep.
I tensed.
His pupils dilated and his breathing quickened,
I braced myself.
He lifted me
and I realized
Fear
writhed like a trapped animal.
