Poetry by C. Eve

I am the First Eve.

June 7, 2019May 28, 2019

Asphyxia

With a rush of our breath,
I had shouted out
from nowhere.
The gods struck you
from my head,
yet as entangled
as we were
I was left gasping.
Dazed and dreamlike,
I remain breathless.
Give me the space
I need
to teach myself
how to breathe
alone.
