Poetry by C. Eve

I am the First Eve.

February 5, 2020January 13, 2020

cinders and snow

sweet and compassionate
smiles like silk,
deepened warmly
in winter.
my eyes
on you, breathless.
darkness in the afternoon,
you exhale softly
in the cold.
our footprints
in the snow,
and I know
I would
bathe in fire
to keep you
warm.
